Brodco has re-invented the traditional garden shed into a technically advanced, purpose made, secure garden storage building that is designed for a purpose, not for a price.
Forget the paint brush, your DaylightSecure Strongroom will never need painting or staining and the roof will never need rust protection or re-felting. Our sheds are Installed in domestic gardens nationwide, as well as hospitals, schools, government agencies, race tracks, allotments, in fact anywhere secure storage is required.

We recommend our approved installers to collect the building from the works in Swansea, transport and install it at your address. Weights vary from 750kg to over 2000kg. For larger sheds, some of the TPR panels will be delivered by a transport company on a pallet, we do not transport doors or roofs on a pallet. The service is only available for mainland Britain and does not include islands or the Scottish Highlands. Customers may collect and erect DaylightSecure sheds from the works in Swansea if preferred. We do not recommend 6’ x 12’, 8’ x 12’ or 10’ x 12’ sheds are self-installed unless an experienced laminator is available to bond the roofs.
Our wall panels are made from TPR, an award winning synthetic concrete developed as a green technology composite by Affresol with the help of British universities. Manufactured using a unique cold process utilising traceable, non-toxic waste polymers from industry, the product is sustainable, recyclable and supported by The Carbon Trust.
No other building material can equal the collective qualities of TPR; it will not rot, warp, bend, leach, melt, rust, sweat or absorb moisture. TPR has low permeability and excellent thermal properties to reduce any risk of condensation and has a Class E fire classification suitable for building construction. It is stronger than concrete and 30% lighter. Contact us for a free sample of TPR.
Wall panels are 1981mm in height and the outer surface is coated with a marine quality gel coat with a choice of colours. The panels can be drilled for fixings, are maintenance free and carry a Lifetime Warranty.
The design of the roof allows light to flood into the building and ensures any dust or leaves are washed away from the surface when it rains. Ventilation points in each of the corners help to minimise the risk of condensation on the inner surface. There is plenty of headroom, 6’4” at the perimeter rising to 7’4” at the centre of the dome.
The 6×12, 8×12 and 10×12 buildings use twin roofs bonded to give a ‘double bubble’ roof. This allows the integral strength of the roof to be maintained while still complying with the Permitted Development planning rules.
The roof is manufactured in a triple layer fiberglass composite as tested for the Secured by Design award. The Strongroom Max roof provides an even higher level of security with a full Kevlar laminate for maximum security, ideal for storing high value bikes, equipment and machinery.
The perimeter of the roofs are finished to compliment the chosen door colours of Juniper Green, Van Dyke Brown, Graphite, and White.
We only use British made doors. The DuraPass single doors have an award for innovation and it’s easy to see why. Clever design and smart features bring great benefits to everyday use and offer excellent durability and life-span.
The single DuraPass doors provide a headroom of more than 6ft (1834mm) and a choice of 2ft 6in (763mm) or 3’3” (1013mm) access widths. The doors are manufactured with a sandwich construction of twin corrosion protected steel skins filled with an insulating polyurethane core. A pair of hardened, galvanised twin hook latches make up the four-point locking system while neoprene seals run around the inside of the door frame to prevent water ingress around the door. The threshold is just 15mm, making easy access for wheeled machinery and bikes. DuraPass doors are available in a choice of standard solid colours; Juniper Green, Van Dyke Brown, Anthracite, and White. Oak and Rosewood are available with a foil finish. The rear of the door is finished in an off-white light reflecting finish. The doors are complimented with black handles and hinges.
Double garage doors are a traditional favourite and the DuraTherm range, available on our larger sheds, retain the timeless appeal of a simple hinged opening but brings it right up to date with insulated panels, a superb locking system, beautiful designs and a build quality that is unmatched. With a headroom of more than 6ft (1976mm) and internal widths of 5ft (1550mm) and 5ft 6in (1690mm) and a threshold of just 15mm these doors are great for wide motorcycles, quad bikes and ride-on mowers.
These are premium doors with a 40mm insulated core between corrosion protected steel skins. The extruded heavy-duty aluminium frame is super rigid and rebated to hold a Q-Lon seal – that’s in addition the Q-Lon seal fitted to the doors.
Duratherm doors are available in solid colours of White or Anthracite and Golden Oak or Rosewood in a foil finish. Frames are finished to match the door colour although Golden Oak and Rosewood doors have Van Dyke Brown frames.
Doors are fitted with dual latch CE mortice locks operated through an ERA 3 Star lock cylinder providing anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-drill protection.
The single door has a four-point locking system with hardened steel galvanised hook latches. Double doors have robust shoot bolts fitted to the second opening door at the top and bottom.
The assembly and construction is designed for all fixings to be completed inside the shed, leaving the outside free of screws and bolts.
Wall fixings are hardened 8.8 steel screw bolts and roof fixings are stainless steel coach screws.
The DaylightSECURE is designed to stand on a concrete base that is within normal building tolerances, that is 6mm of being level measured across the whole surface. The wall panels are bolted and sealed to the concrete.
If the concrete base is greater than 6mm and no more than 12mm of being level, or if the base is paving or tarmacadam less than 12mm of being level a TPR floor base will be required. The panels are designed to prevent water ingress and the wall panels are bolted direct to the floor panels.
